Captain's Drive In
Thank you to all that turned out on Sunday for our captain's drive in. A great day was had by everyone.
Congratulations to Georgia and Brian Viggers on winning the day, it was the first time the 90% handicap system was used; it would be interesting to hear your views on what you think about it.
The gents captain hit his drive 199 yards, and the lady captain 148 giving us a combined total of 347, congratulations to you both. And well done to Paul Steenburg for guessing the correct yardage!
We would like to wish Nigel and Jacquie the very best for this year; we hope it's most enjoyable.
Course Status
Winter rules are still in play but mats are now optional! Trolleys are also fine, but still no buggies.

Ladies Group Coaching
We have put some group coaching dates in the diary for the start of the season. We are running some ladies five week courses covering putting, chipping, iron play, woods etc. These courses are aimed at the beginner and we have three start dates, which are as follows:
So if you would like to take part or you know somebody who has been thinking of starting golf who would like to join in, please contact us in the pro shop to book a place on one of the courses. The cost of the course is £25 in total and we can provide all equipment required.
Junior Coaching
We are also starting some junior coaching on Sunday, 17 April we will have three groups one at 12pm, 1pm and one at 2pm. These courses will be run alongside the Golf Foundation golf passport programme, a structured course of lessons which will move up through different levels as we go.
Again please register in the pro shop to secure a place on these courses. These courses are open to everybody (you do not need to be a member at Stanton), so if you and a friend fancy giving golf a try, these courses are ideal for you.
Intermediate Group Coaching
We will also be running monthly, on Tuesday mornings at 10pm, group lessons for 18+ handicap golfers. The dates are as follows:

Tuesday, 5 July
Tuesday, 2 August
These sessions are ideal to give you some general swing thoughts and tips to help you enjoy the game more. Please contact us in the shop if you would like to join in. The cost will be £6 a session.
Group Coaching for New Members
We would like any new members to get involved as much as possible in the club, so we have put together some dates down for some group coaching for any member who has joined in the last year or so. These will take place on Saturday mornings at 10am on the following dates:

Saturday, 6 August.
