One other interesting incident on the texas scamble one of the pre tournament favourites were the team of Kev Vamplew, Ash Spencer, Ian Greatorex and Sershin Djafer, unfortunately they were spotted on the third hole playing their best drive from the middle of the fourth fairway.
They did birdie the hole they told me and finished a creditable 7th overall.

Team News
The Seniors team played against Kibworth away last week but unfortunately lost 1 ½ - 6 ½.
Brian Lyall won a bottle of wine for nearest the pin and then promptly raffled it off to raise yet more money for the Air Ambulance.
The Seniors Played Rothley park on the 18th away and won 4 ½ - 3 ½.
The Mixed friendly v's Chesterfield ended in a draw. Well done to all who played in the matches.

The Keyworth Show
The Keyworth show took place on Saturday the 9th and we thought this would be a good place to spread the Stanton word.
After getting absuolutly soaked setting up at 8 o clock in the morning we had a very slow start as the good people of Keyworth were not braving the weather.
By mid morning the show started to get busy and myself and Mark must have given about 50 mini lessons in the inflatable net we hired so hopefully we might have created a bit of interest in the club in the village.
