Congratulations to Sam Horsley who carried on his run of form from Thursdays medal by equalling the course record on Saturday in the monthly Medal with a fanatstic 6 under par 67 which was a nett 65, which not suprisingly won him the overall prize as well as the lowest gross. Hopefully he can continue his current form for the rest of the year.

Dave Button claimed Division 2 with a great nett 69 (looks like the lessons are paying off) from John Gibson on countback, and Gordon Hackett won the third Division with a nett 71 so well done to him as well.

As I touched on earlier, Sam Horsley also claimed the lowest gross and Division 1 in Thursdays medal with a 71 nett 68, Bob Braithwaite stormed Division 2 with an amazing nett 64 and again Gordon Hackett won Division 3. Anyone taking Sam and Gordon on in a doubles match be warned!!

Sam Horsley, Kevin Martin, James Varney, Andy Cook, Rob Ward, Kevin Vamplew, David Machin and Neil Collings were the qualifiers for the Hilton Salver knockout so good luck to you guys.

I know we say it often but the course really is looking fantastic, the greens were top dressed not long ago which, after the sand has bedded in, helps to fill in any bumps or small marks, not that the greens were bumpy!

Next weekend we have the Notts Amatuer matchplay championships here, this will affect what time you can play, so ring us either in the shop or in the office. Support is always encouraged at these events too so you would be more than welcome to come along.

We had a PING demo day here recently which was a great day and enjoyed by everyone who turned up to see what was on offer. They are always successful days and are a nice chance for people to see the entire range, hopefully we can keep getting the days booked in for the future.
