This Saturday was Captain's Day, thankfully the weather turned out nice for the Captain making it an enjoyable day for all golfers. Thank you to everyone who supported the event and made it a great day with a good turn out! We managed to raise over £1000 on the day for the Captains charity.
Plenty of good scores were shot meaning you had to play your best golf to have a chance of getting in the prizes. Maurice Hume and Barry Dawson were the overall winners with a superb score of 46 points.

On Sunday the Juniors' and the Mixed team had matches. The Juniors' were playing at home against Radcliffe and the result was a 2 - 4 defeat for Stanton.
The mixed team also suffered a defeat at Scraptoft going down 1 - 6.
The Seniors' also played on Monday at Wollaton Park, and again I have to report another defeat, this time 1 - 5.
Better news from the interclub foursomes team who won their match at Holinwell, beating Ruddington to progress to the next round.
This weekend we have the club championship over 36 holes, and then on Sunday we have the Nottinghamshire foursomes county event so the tee will be busy between 8 o'clock and 3 o'clock, so please plan accordingly.
