H R Hilton Trophy On Sunday, 10 September it was the H R Hilton Trophy. There were some great scores on the day with the winning score being a nett 69, this was shot by Jacquie Gauntley and Peter Gauntley. In second place were Geoff Underwood and Marie Underwood with a nett 70 and in third place were Jackie Richards and David Richards with a score of nett 74. The only two which was recorded on the day was by the trophy winners Jacquie Gauntley and Peter Gauntley with their two being on the 10th hole. Men's Thursday Medal On Thursday, 14 September the men had their Thursday Medal. The weather on the day wasn't great and with the course playing tricky which reflected in the scoring. Well done to Division one winner David Monk who shot a nett 73 which was a great score on the day. In second place was Mick Layton with a score of nett 74 and in third place was Keith Hammond with a nett 75. The Division two winner was Simon Starr with a great score of a nett 69, which was the lowest nett score on the day. In second place was Michael Spencer with a nett 71 and in third place was Brian Lyall with a nett 71. The Division three winner was Will Monk with a score of nett 73. In second place was David Pike with a nett 74 and in third place was Roger Downer with a nett 75. There were five twos on the day which was won by Hole 2 Ian Greatorex, Hole 10 Don Sharp, Hole 10 Michael Spencer, Hole 10 Raeburn Robertson and Hole 15 Andrew Smith.
Autumn Cup - handicap limit 18 On Monday, 18 September we had the Autumn Cup which had a handicap limit of 18. There were some great scores on the day and the most impressive was by Tim Lee who scored 41 points. In second place was Miles Thompson with 40 points and Barry Whittingham came third on countback with 40 points. I would like to congratulate Neil Collings for his hole in one on the 2nd hole, well done Neil. Autumn Cup - divisional scores On Saturday, 16 September it was the divisional scores for the Autumn Cup. The winner of Division one was Miles Thompson with a score of 40 points. In second place was Nick Orchard with 38 points and in third place was David Hahm with 37 points. The winner of Division two was Tim Lee with a score of 41 points. In second place was Barry Whittingham with a score of 40 points and in third place was Mark Oldham with a score of 38 points. The winner of Division three was John Grier with 41 points. In second place was Tom Bagshaw with 40 points and in third place was Geoffrey Garratt with 38 points.
