The Jubilee Cup
Saturday saw the Jubilee cup being played. The course played very easy and the scores reflected this, the CSS went down to 71. David Monk took the trophy with a superb 8 up on the course, Dan Limon, Stan Dziuba and John Basnett trailed behind with 7up! Well done to all 4 players for very good rounds!
The Stanton Ryder Cup
The Stanton Ryder Cup was played on Friday, and this is the match between Keyworth and Widmerpool. Once again, the depth and strength of the Keyworth team was far too strong for Widmerepool to compete with, resulting in a convincing win for Keyworth. Lets hope it's a bit closer next year!
Phillip Smith played in the Sparks Celebrity Golf Day at Drayton Park, he scored a brilliant 43 points which saw him claim the title. 104 players competed, so this is a great achievement!
Another super result for Stanton was achieved on Sunday, the mixed team beat Radcliffe away at Radcliffe 5.5 - 2.5. Well done everyone who played!

There's no escaping the fact that the nights are drawing in and whilst we can still hope for an Indian summer, it's a good time to prepare ourselves for the autumn and winter months. Autumn, particularly, is a wonderful time to play golf, conjuring up memories of the World Match Play at Wentworth all those years ago. It also means we have to accept there's likely to be a bit more wind and rain out there.
