First of all, we would like to thank all of you members for the continued support that you show to us in the shop, and to show our thanks here are some deals that may interest you as we come into the New Year!

Happy New Year, Nick, Brad and I hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year. We would like to wish all Stanton members a great golfing year. There was an excellent turn out for our Pros competition yesterday and some great scores to go with it.

Rules corner

Do you know the new rules?

As you all know there are some new rules that came in to force on January 1st this year. We will list a few each week for you to have as a reference and take in slowly, not too many at once! We will list five a week over the next four newsletters, but if you have any questions please get in touch with the pro shop team and we will help you out.

1. Search time - reduced from 5 minutes to 3 minutes
2. Ball moved during search - you may now replace with no penalty
3. Embedded ball - free relief anywhere through the course when plugged (not including bunkers)
4. Measuring a drop - use longest club (except putter)
5. Dropping - drop from knee height not shoulder height.

That’s the first five I think most of the changes are straight forward but as we said any queries please get in touch with the team.

Winter health check

A new year always brings with it a sense of renewed motivation when it comes to improving your golf game – and 2019 isn’t any different. So, before you head to the course next, go into the garage and give your equipment the once-over to make sure all is in order for the year ahead.

What will you find inside yours?

Golfin' in the rain
