Notts Alliance
Last Wednesday the notts alliance went to Rufford Park, Stanton had 6 players reresenting, Tom, Henry, Mike Styles, Pete Hartley, Jes Smallwood and Terry Linley. Unfortunatley non of us played our best golf. Henry managed to score well on the back 9 to get 33 points! The team has now slipped to 15th in the order of merit.
There was no competition last Saturday which was fortunate given how bad the weather turned out to be. This Saturday is the Turkey Trot foursomes, and the Saturday after is the pro comp. Your support for these competitions would be greatly welcomed.
Night Golf
The annual night golf takes place this Friday. This is a fun comp where we play a 5 hole competition in the dark with a flashing golf ball, and is always a great laugh so get involved!
The ladies section played a stableford on the 9th of November.
Division 1 was won by Trish Annesley with 33 points.
Division 2 winner was Jackie Gauntley with a brilliant 40 points.
Division 3 best score was 33 points by Christine Baugh.
Well done to all the winners!
Captain Andrew and I played our latest challenge match on Sunday against Sunil Dahar and Roger Bratton. The weather was great for this time of year as was the company, and I'm glad to report the Captain and I managed a win.

The next Pro comp is a week on Saturday the 22nd, and as a way of a changing things up a bit, we will play it as an individual stableford. You will still be able to play in your normal four ball, but this format will make it possible for people to play in two's, three's and four ball's.
The feedback we are getting is some of the new members cannot always fix up in a four so are missing out, this will allow everyone who wants to play in the comp the opportunity to do so. We will monitor how this format works and may try it again through the Winter. As ever your feedback/opinions would be very welcome.
So summing up everyone can still play in fourballs in the pro comp, but people who are not in a four can also join in.
