Hello golfers,
It's the Coronation cup this week so please remember the course will be closed for all play at 1 o'clock this Friday to let the greenstaff prepare the course for the big day. It's good to see the entry has gone up this year, the club have decided to try a four ball better ball format this year as opposed to the foursomes format, it's a break from tradition but if it keeps the Coronation as a major open fixtre it's probably worth the change. As always your comments and feedback are very welcome.
Last week we had a visitor come play our course who happened to work for GolfShake, a golf course review website. He has written a review about his experience at Stanton. Click here to see what he had to say.
On the golf side this last week we have played at home to Newark and Sleaford, always popular fixtures the next combined match is Beeston Fields at home on July 21st. Next Wednesday the 8th is the Seniors open so the course will closed for general play until around 3 pm.
Date for your diary the Stanton best putter comp starts on July the 9th running through until the final on the 16th.
This weeks ladies results are for the Centenary Trophy and EG Medal winner Cathy Burnside 74 points on countback from Sue Barber also on 74 points.
