Club teams

The Scratch team played against Sherwood Forest away which is always a tough fixture and so it proved the team lost 1 - 4. The good news is the inter club men's foursomes team beat Ruddington on Wednesday evening.

Shop news

With all the improvements to the practice facilities and free use of range balls it is great to see a large number of members taking advantage of the facilities. However have you heard Albert Einstein's definition of insanity? It is "Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results". So are you just practising your faults? In the next couple of weeks Nick and Mark will be holding a couple of free 10min swing check sessions on the range feel free to come into the pro shop to express an interest.

Don't forget the Mizuno demo day next Thursday the 7th and the Yonex demo day the following Wednesday the 13th we do still have some availability for both please contact us in store for bookings.

85% of golfers are playing with clubs with the incorrect lie angles are you one of these? The correct lie angle of your clubs are vital to the direction you hit the golf ball due to face plane tilt.

TIPFor a more detailed explanation come and talk to us in the pro shop and we can check your clubs free of charge and if your clubs are forged and the lie angles are wrong we can alter them for you there and then. Alternatively there are still a few appointments left for the Mizuno custom fitting day on the 7th June.

Stanton's best putter will be starting on July 9th so get yourselves ready for a week of top class putting. Final on the 16th of July.

Jacquie had a great day on Tuesday for her ladies captains day with the pink and bling theme being embraced by everyone great idea and a good fun day. Results to follow next week.

Video of the week

Just to prove that the unmentionables can strike anyone… this happened to poor Jon Rahm, playing in his first ever event as a professional. As if that wasn't bad enough, Shot Tracker technology captured it all!

It can happen to any of us…
