Coronation day went very well with a full field, the four ball format seems more popular. The scoring was exceptional and you had to feel for Phil Noris and Robert Tigg who posted a 62 in the first half an hour, only to be beaten on a countback by Geoff Underwood and Samuel Underwood, who came in in the last half an hour, so congratulations to all four on two great scores and a great win for Geoff and his partner. A special mention to Dan Limon and J Jenkins who won the gross with a four under par 69. The division one and division two were also won by Stanton members with Fred Brown and Gary Lund winning the first division and Roy Pickavance and Chris Bingham winning division two both with 65.

Please Welcome Brad
We have a new member off staff amongst us who is called Brad Bainbridge, he is the new trainee who is going to be a registered PGA Professional.
"First of all thank you for the warm welcome I have received at the club and it is a pleasure to be in an environment with so many friendly faces. I am currently 17 years old, 18 in August and have a handicap of 5.1. I have been playing since I was three years old when I started in my back garden with plastic clubs, since then I have always had a passion for the game and have wanted to grow my skill set and knowledge as much as possible. I'm going to get involved with mark on the junior sessions that run on a Sunday to help him grow the junior section and hopefully progress player's ability and would love to get involved with coaching as much as possible. If anyone fancies a game, please don't hesitate to ask as I want to meet and play with as many people as possible."
Brad Bainbridge.
Hole In One
One item of news this week, Beresford Durose ex captain from 2006 had a hole in one at Greetham Valley last week, not bad for an 83 year old.
