Members news

Hole in Ones

It's that time of year at moment where hole in ones are becoming a regular occurrence, Elaine Horler started things off in the Lady captains day holing out on the tenth, then Keith Horsley played on Friday evening and holed his tee shot on the second (Keith pointed out he now had two more holes in one than Sam), and then Clive Ledger played on Sunday and holed out. Congratulations to all three of you.

Latest News

Nottinghamshire played a league match against Worcestershire on Sunday here at Stanton, and I'm pleased to say they recorded a victory. We have two busy Saturdays coming up this week, it's the Texas Scramble, which is pretty full but there is a two ball looking to make up with two more at around 2.30pm. On the following Saturday it's Captains' Day, when I last looked we had 187 names down to play, the presentation is at 7.30pm, then there is the Captains birthday party from 8pm until late, so get your tickets from behind the bar.

Slow Play

In the last week we are getting lots of feedback regarding slow play on the course. This is not just on competition days, but through the week as well. Please remember that priority should always be given to the match playing faster regardless of whether it's a one, two, three or four ball. There will be some course marshalling starting to take place to try and get on top of this, so everyone's enjoyment is increased.
