It looks like the weather has finally broken now with a rainy Saturday followed by a cold Sunday morning, but lots of golf still went ahead.
The Centenary Trophy
The Centenary Trophy was played on Saturday which was won by Russ Maltby with 41 pts. Roger Bryant and Shaun Bullen were both tied second on 40, so well done to these guys and well done to the early starters who finished their round in terrible conditions.
Myself and the Captain played on Sunday morning against Clive Corcoran and Graham Copping, we had an enjoyable game and Clive and Graham led from start to finish winning 4 & 2.
But the good news on Sunday is Utd won again.
The Hilton Trophy
In the afternoon the Hilton Trophy was played. It was a really poor turnout for the competition with 6 pairs playing which is sad to see, maybe a change is needed in these mixed Sunday comps to make them more appealing. If you have a view on this please let us know.

Well done to all the winners, it was nice to see some of the new members in the prizes.

In store we have just taken in a set of the Wison forged V2 FG irons with the KBS shaft and multi compound grips, so these clubs are available at a bargain price against the price when new.
We still have a little of the PING G25 on clearance including some A flex (seniors) shafts which are a great shaft for gaining some distance you may have lost over the years.
We have just taken delivery of the fabulous Golf Buddy WT4 lifestyle GPS watch which also gives you distances to hazards on the course as well as green measurements. These have been so popular in America they have only just released them in Europe 6 Months late due to their popularity over there.
Call in and take a look.
Has anyone used a pair of Ecco golf shoes recently? We are looking at stocking them next season and your feedback/comments would be very useful.
