Club news

A very exciting and busy week here at Stanton...

On Monday, we had the Heineken and Castle Rock Golf Day and on Friday we had Vic Trumans NFU Golf Day. Both groups were extremely complimentary about the golf course. Yesterday was the Men’s Open, with some great scores in difficult conditions and quick green. After playing a few holes myself Saturday evening, I noticed some of the pin locations were quite challenging, so well done to all those playing to their handicaps or better!

Competition results

Mixed Open Better Ball Stableford - Sunday, 8 September

First place - Andrew Gray and Rebecca Gray - 46 Points.
Second place - Steve Glennon and Margaret Ferguson - 46 Points.
Third place - Sarah Hernon and Mick Harby - 45 Points.
Fourth place - The Captains, Judith Burgin and Peter Gauntley - 42 Points.

And a massive well done to Kev Vamplew for achieving a hole-in-one on the fifth; his first of many to come we are sure.
