Night Golf

Last Friday the Night Golf 5 hole competition took place, this is the event played in the dark with a flashing Golf Ball and illuminated flags. Again we had a good turn out with only a few slots free. The catering was also excellent after, thanks to Claire and her team.

Maurice Hume won with a fantastic score of 10 points.

Turkey Trott

Congratulations to Neil Collings and his son and new member Anthony Collings who won the Turkey Trot compeition on Saturday on countback with a great score of 42 pts. Sam Horsley and Paul Fletcher were the couple who just missed out on first place, the pair had two 2's in their round of 42 pts. Rob Baker and Rich Drury came third in divison 1 with 41 pts.

Fred Brown and Tim Cains were division 2 winners with 36 pts from Paul Stockbridge and Craig Watson on countback with 36 pts, and Tony Benson and John R Shelton came third with 35. All prize winners receive a voucher to spend in Bob Green's butchers, well done again.

This weekend we are running a pro compeition which will be a singles stableford for a change. We are doing this as an experiment to see how popular it will be as lots of people have suggested it to us, and with the increase in new members who are struggling to make up a 4 ball it seems a good idea. You can still play in 4 balls also.
