Coaching news

Coaching update

The coaching sessions on a Thursday are to be taking place as of next week (26th) with Nick. It is a group mixed ability session that is open to both genders.

The lesson group only has a small availability of around 6-8 people so it will be first come first serve. The lessons are £8 for an hour at 10-11.

To register interest please contact one of us in the pro shop.

Sociable sessions

Playing golf with your friends is one of the best things about this sport but, if you’re tired of playing long strokeplay rounds in your fourball, why not try some of the fun formats below the next time you find yourself going out in a four?

4BBB

This game is a lot of fun and sees both team members play their own ball, with the lowest score counting at each hole. In a fourball betterball match, players receive 90% of the difference from the player with the lowest handicap.

Greensomes

Both partners tee off on each hole. You then choose the best drive and play alternate shots for the rest of the hole. Your greensomes handicap should be 60% of the lower partner’s handicap added to 40% of the higher partner’s.

Gruesomes

This is a great way to find out who your true friends are as the format is the same as Greensomes only your opposition decide which drive you play from. Although don't blame us if you all end up falling out over it.
