Cold weather has really closed in on us with hard frosts making a regular appearance which has unfortunately on some days has forced us off the greens on to the temporary greens.

Saturday saw our pro comp being played, unfortunately we had a lower than average entry, this was due to the hard frost and temporary greens. However we still had 2 cracking scores of 46 points in each division which is quite remarkable considering the conditions.

Steve Bell and Andy Evans cleaned up in division 1, whilst Don Sharp and Barry Whittingham took the top spot in division 2. Trevor Sims had the greatest achievement of the day as he was the only player in the competition to get a 2, this saw him bag £40!!! The next pro comp is this Saturday which is the 20th, your support will be greatly appreciated.

On Friday it was the Mens Christmas dinner, I personally attended and it was a very good night which was enjoyed by all who were there. The comedian made us all laugh and I think everyone would agree Claire did such a good job with the food serving that quantity of people out of a kitchen that size whilst keeping the quality was brilliant.
