The Captain's drive in went ahead on Sunday in glorious weather. A big crowd turned out to see Harry and Margaret hit their three drives down the first. They managed to hit all three of their drives on to the fairway, and the result of the combined best two drives was 390 yards correctly guesed by Norman Benny.
Henry who normally measures the tee shots, and surprisingly has won the competition two out of the last three years was on holiday, so Tom needs to have a word with him!!
Talking of Henry, some of you will already know that he is moving on at the end of this week to take a position at Bridgstone Golf doing ball fit days. His last day with us will be Sunday so we wish him all the very best in the next stage of his golfing career and thank him for all his hard work while he was here. He will be a tough act to follow, I think that's all Henry asked me to say!! Seriously though I'm sure he will be around from time to time and have the odd game of golf, so he won't disappear altogether.
